Roast Lamb (Pop’s)

Start at 450

Have butcher remove skin- wash lamb and place in roasting pan

Sift about 3/4 C flour over all

Salt, pepper, garlic powder well

Pour in water to about 1 inch

Add kitchen bouquet and bouillon and little Worcestershire in water

Add potatoes, onions and carrots

Place in oven at 450 for 30 minutes then reduce heat for balance of time

Allow 25-30 minutes per pound (140-145 temp)

Do not baste 1st half hour- after that every 15 minutes

Turn roast for last 1/2 hour- to soften and color gravy.

Gravy- add seasonings – Bisto to thicken
