Steak Polynesian (Hawaiian)

12 steaks (1/2″ thick)

1 C vinegar

1 C soy sauce

1/2C sake (or sherry)

1 crushed clove garlic

1 lg onion sliced

1/4 C fine chopped ginger (1/2 tsp ground)

Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Marinate steaks in all ingredients except salt and pepper
  2. Remove and season with salt and pepper
  3. Charcoal broil
  4. Baste steaks with marinade while broiling
